The 20 loci with low mutation rates are highly suitable for male lineage investigations due to their low mutation rates, large number, and strong polymorphism, providing powerful discrimination between unrelated male individuals. Meanwhile, the 7 rapidly mutating loci are advantageous for identifying closely related male individuals.

Compatible with direct amplification from various sample types and purified DNA.
Suitable for direct amplification from Whatman® FTA blood cards/saliva cards, conventional blood and saliva cards, oral swabs, as well as extracted DNA samples.
